Corporate Social Responsibility: A long-term commitment

Gear for Sports® is completely opposed to abusive labor practices and is committed to developing sustainable solutions to improve working conditions in global supplier factories:

  • 1995: We instituted a code of conduct detailing our minimum labor standards that must be adopted by all our suppliers.
  • 1997: We established our office of Global Human Rights Compliance to ensure that workers manufacturing our products were treated fairly and to convey to our suppliers the importance of our code of conduct to our many stakeholders.
  • 2000: We became the first collegiate company to join the Fair Labor Association and disclose our complete factory list publicly.
  • 2010: The Fair Labor Association awarded Gear for Sports® Accreditation, which indicates the presence of systems & procedures required for successfully upholding fair labor standards throughout our supply chain.
